Knipex screwdriver

These Knipex screwdrivers are almost all VDE-tested, insulated models with a multi-component handle and a browned blade, made for work on electrical installations, control cabinets and distribution boards.

The profile is the first choice. Slotted screwdrivers come in most sizes, from short and narrow for terminals to long and wide for larger screws. For cross-head screws there are Phillips and Pozidriv versions, and the tip has to match the screw head exactly to avoid slipping. PlusMinus screwdrivers fit the combination screws on modern circuit breakers and switchgear, and Slim versions have a thin shaft for recessed screws. Choose a VDE version as soon as you work near live parts, even for a short job in a distribution board.

Then pick the length to suit the work. In this series the lengths run from 162 mm for fine, precise work to 320 mm for screws deep inside a cabinet. These screwdrivers belong to the wider range of Knipex screwdrivers, which also holds the VDE spanners with screwdriver handle.
