Gedore left-hand screw extractors M3 to M45 and stud drivers

Gedore left-hand screw extractors and stud drivers are tools for removing broken bolts and studs and for fitting studs, in the repair of machines, engines and structures. A left-hand extractor bites into a pre-drilled hole in the broken bolt and turns it out anticlockwise.

Left-hand extractors are numbered in sizes 1 to 8, each for a range of thread sizes: size 1 for M3 to M6, size 2 for M6 to M8, rising to size 8 for M33 to M45. Choose the size by the thread of the broken bolt. The series comes in two versions, the 8551 and the 8551 S.

A stud driver clamps a stud on its plain or threaded side, so you can screw it in or out without damaging the thread. They come for 5 to 26 mm, 6 to 13 mm and 8 to 19 mm; choose by the stud diameters you work with most. They belong to the wider Gedore cutting tools range, which also holds the tools for cutting new threads.
