Product Description

The RIDGID® electric pipe cutter model 258 cuts steel pipe, galvanised pipe, rigid pipe, etc. from 2 1/2" (65 mm) to 8" (200 mm) with wall thicknesses from 0.15" (3.8 mm) to 0.4" (10 mm) on site or in the workshop. Powered by the RIDGID 700 electric drive, the 258 is a displacement principle pipe cutter that produces angled cuts. The operator controls the cutting speed by pumping on the hydraulic foot pump during the operation. An angled cut with minimal burr formation at 21 ft (6 m) or pipe nipple length is quickly achieved** without grinding dust, sparks or open flame. In addition, the RIDGID pipe beveling support can be used to rotate the pipe while a second person uses a grinder to bevel the pipe.

  • Angle cuts 21 ft (6 m) or nipple lengths of pipe without effort.
  • Cuts effortlessly as pipe material is displaced rather than removed.
  • No grinding dust, dangerous sparks, or open flames.
  • Cuts steel pipe quickly with minimal burr formation.
  • Ideal for cutting pipe for connecting with groove joints.
  • Robust construction is perfect for on-site or workshop use.
  • Adaptable to chamfer.
