Plugs for portable tools, extension leads and site power

A plug is the replaceable end of every portable connection, and on site it is usually the first part of a lead to fail. A rewireable rubber plug takes punishment that a moulded end cannot: the body flexes instead of cracking, the cord grip holds under a pull, and a damaged one is swapped in minutes rather than scrapping the whole lead. For general 230V tool and extension work, a two-pole design with an earth contact is the standard fit.

Where the supply is industrial, a CEE plug gives a keyed, colour-coded connection that cannot be mated to the wrong voltage or phase, with the rated current marked on the body and a sealed housing for outdoor and wash-down areas. Choose on current rating, the cable diameter the gland will accept, and whether the assembly has to stay sealed while unplugged.

A hinged cover keeps water and dust out of an inlet that sits idle between shifts. These fittings sit next to sockets in the wider sockets, plugs and connectors range.
