MAPA Gloves
MaPa is a leading manufacturer of hand protection. MaPa-Professionel gloves provide protection in various (industrial) environments. As an innovator with unparalleled technical know-how, MaPa, thanks to its expertise and the needs of the field, can offer the right glove with the right properties for every job. The range is extensive and includes: disposable gloves, liquid-resistant gloves, chemical-resistant gloves, cut-resistant gloves, and work gloves (for both precision and heavy work), as well as thermal-resistant gloves for long work in cold or warm environments or for handling hot or cold objects. Additionally, MaPa supplies gloves that protect the user or the product from radiation and chemical or mechanical risks. The chemical-resistant gloves can be used not only in the chemical industry but also anywhere workers come into contact with oily and greasy substances.
Outstanding Features for Industrial Sectors
MaPa gloves offer excellent performance, are flexible, comfortable to wear, and durable. They are made from materials such as vinyl, natural latex, nitrile, exclusive polymer compositions, and High-Density Polyethylene fibers (HDPE). HDPE fibers improve comfort and tactile sensitivity without reducing the protection level. Other technical fibers, such as para-aramid fibers, also contribute to higher cut protection. The choice of protective glove depends on the nature of the industry sector and the type of work in that sector. In the food industry, hygiene must be taken into account, and the gloves must meet strict regulations as they come into contact with food. In construction, gloves must provide adequate protection for masons, painters, carpenters, plumbers, metalworkers, roofers, and tilers. In public services, they must offer protection for tasks such as cleaning, catering, technical maintenance, road construction, firefighting activities, healthcare, and railway-related work.
Extensive Quality Control
MaPa ensures superior quality gloves by subjecting the entire production process to extensive quality control. The gloves are manufactured using innovative and high-tech processes, with MaPa applying its expertise in making safety gloves. The cleanliness of protective gloves is guaranteed by carrying out the purification process in MaPa’s own cleanrooms after manufacturing. Through periodic purity checks, MaPa ensures that they meet the prescribed standards for hazardous environments. This maintains the quality level of both the product and its packaging. The chemical resistance testing of protective gloves complies with ASTM standards. All production units hold the ISO 9001 certification.
Customer-Focused
MaPa gloves are sold through a global network of approved distributors. This network plays an important role, as it allows MaPa to communicate with the market through the distributors to better understand its customers' needs. This enables MaPa to develop and manufacture products that respond to the demands of the field. On-site research is recommended to determine which protection best fits the workplace. To find the most suitable gloves, a software tool is offered that takes into account both performance and comfort levels of the gloves.
The Company
The Pioneer Rubber Company began producing gloves for protection against liquids and chemicals as early as 1918. In 1948, Robert Marret and Jean Paturel started making latex gloves in France under the name MaPa, a combination of the first letters of their surnames. In 1963, MaPa partnered with Baltex to develop gloves for professional use in the industry. The acquisition of the Pioneer Rubber Company in 1988 completed the company. Since 2010, MaPa has been part of Jarden, the world leader in many niche products. MaPa-Professionnel produces more than a million safety gloves in all shapes and sizes every day, offered on five continents.
