Wall holders and brackets for measuring instruments
A wall holder fixes a laser or a measuring instrument to a wall, a profile or a rail, so the set-up does not shift while work goes on around it. On a tripod every knock costs you the reference and the alignment starts again. On the wall the line stays put, even when material has to pass.
The fitting has to match first. The common size is a 1/4 inch thread, which suits most line lasers and spot lasers. Alongside those are holders with a magnet, which sit on steel in one movement and come off just as fast. Check whether the holder has a fine height adjustment, because on ceiling and wall work that is the difference between setting it once and correcting it ten times.
Look next at the weight the holder has to carry against the instrument going on it, and at the way it fixes: screwing holds longest, clamping is fastest, a magnet only works on steel. Check as well that the holder can carry the instrument in the position you use it in. More accessories and spare parts for measuring and inspection sit one level up.
