This set contains blades made of high carbon steel (HCS). It is a material that resists bending well and is therefore best suited for cutting softer materials such as soft wood, soft plastics and wood fibre boards. The set also includes blades made of high-speed steel (HSS). This is a hard material that has a long life and can make fast cuts. The blade is suitable for harder materials such as metal, copper, aluminium and other non-ferrous metals. The blade attachment is Makita shank type, also called M-shank, specially designed for easy connection to Makita jigsaws with a two-hole holder.
