This blade is made of high carbon steel (HCS). It is a material that resists bending well and is therefore best suited for cutting softer materials such as soft wood, soft plastics and wood fibre boards. The blade attachment is Makita shank type, also called M-shank, specially designed for easy connection to Makita jigsaws with a two-hole holder. The sharpened teeth have sharper edges for a smooth, accurate cut with slower cutting time.
