Strong Quality Features

Thanks to the Advanced Focus System (AFS), the light beam of LEDLENSER lamps is brighter and more efficient than that of other brands. AFS, an ingenious optical system that uses a lens instead of a reflector, was developed in LEDLENSER's own research center, is patented worldwide, and is exclusively used by LEDLENSER. The flashlights and headlamps from LEDLENSER are particularly powerful but do not rely on expensive rare batteries. Thanks to a progressive circuit design and integrated cooling, the LED chip cannot be overloaded during prolonged use of intense light. The materials used are efficient, of excellent quality, and adapted to the specific application. For example, anodized aluminum is used for work lamp housings, while polycarbonate is used for housings exposed to very high temperatures. Superconductive gold is effectively used for contacts. The modular construction makes it easier, faster, and more environmentally friendly to repair or replace defective parts of a LEDLENSER flashlight. All flashlights feature Rapid Focus, a clever system that allows the light beam to switch easily and quickly from reading to search mode with a slider that can be operated with one hand. FLOATING CHARGE SYSTEM (FCS) is a charging system that can be wall-mounted and connected to the mains or via a USB connection to a laptop or USB port. This FCS system increases the ease of use of LEDLENSER flashlights. LEDLENSER lamps can use non-rechargeable AA and AAA batteries. Using lithium batteries makes the flashlight lighter and extends battery life, especially in cold conditions.

Background

In 1994, the first LED flashlights were manufactured by Harald and Rainer Opolka in a German garage. This marked the birth of the LEDLENSER company, whose V8 flashlight became a design classic and a worldwide bestseller. The two-man company grew into a business with more than 1,000 employees, producing in three manufacturing facilities. The headquarters of LEDLENSER is located in Solingen, Germany.
