Hikoki files, graters and scrapers

These HiKOKI files keep a chainsaw chain sharp, for foresters, landscapers and professionals who cut on site or in the woods. A sharp chain cuts faster, puts less load on the motor and gives a safer, smoother cut.

Round chainsaw files sharpen the cutting teeth. The file diameter has to match the chain: 4.0, 4.5, 4.8, 5.2 and 5.5 mm are the sizes, each also given in inches, such as 3/16" or 7/32". Check which file diameter the maker of your chain specifies. The 150 mm flat file keeps the depth gauges at the right height, so the teeth bite properly into the wood.

If you sharpen yourself for the first time, start with a starter set with file holder: the holder guides the file at the correct angle and height across the tooth.
