The Fluke 2062 Advanced Pro Cable Locator accurately and safely troubleshoots live and de-energised cables in residential, commercial and industrial environments up to CAT IV 600 V. This CAT rating offers the highest protection available on a cable locator. It is designed to protect you from the most dangerous levels of commutation collapse, peaks up to 8,000 V, that can occur in industrial environments. This is especially important for scenarios you may encounter in environments such as industrial plants, factories and hospitals where critical equipment cannot be taken out of service.
With the patented Smart Sensor, only available on the Fluke 2062, you can trace cables faster and easier. It locates and displays live cables in walls, floors and ceilings on a high-resolution 3.5-inch TFT LCD colour display. Integrated on-screen help screens provide extra ease of use, whether you are a beginner or an expert. The point sensor provides an audible tone when locating wires, and the Smart Sensor helps visualise and locate the direction of live cables.
Whether detecting faults in electrical wiring and equipment in homes, commercial buildings or high-voltage facilities, the Fluke 2062 can easily detect breaks, interruptions and short circuits. Its various modes and functions give you the flexibility to detect a wide range of electrical wiring and circuit problems you may encounter on the job.
The 2062-R receiver detects signal in wires and cables according to two modes: passive tracing without the transmitter for non-contact voltage detection, and active tracing with the transmitter for all other modes. The receiver's point sensor can trace wires in corners, tight spaces and junction boxes.
The 2000-T transmitter operates on live and de-energised circuits up to CAT IV 600 V and has high, low and loop modes. These modes change the strength of the signal generated and, depending on the circuit you are detecting, can provide more accurate results.
The 2000-T automatically detects whether the system is live or de-energised and selects an output frequency of 6 kHz or 33 kHz.
More sensitivity levels mean more flexibility and tracking accuracy.
The Fluke 2062 advanced Pro cable locator set comes with everything needed to trace cables and circuits. The accessory set includes test leads, test probes, adapters for wall sockets with round and flat pins and alligator clips to connect the transmitter to electrical systems. Connecting the transmitter to a bare conductor with the crocodile clips and test leads provided always gives the most accurate results. However, in situations where a direct connection to a bare conductor is not available, the supplied i400 current clamp can be used with the 'Loop' mode to generate an amplified 6 kHz signal through the insulation. The kit also includes a tape with magnetic hanging clip, batteries and a hard carrying case.
