Floor stickers and marking symbols for the shop floor

A floor sticker says on the shop floor what a continuous line on its own cannot explain. Arrows show a direction of travel, dots mark a fixed parking place for a pallet, trolley or extinguisher, and footprints show where someone has to stand. Together they steer traffic and behaviour in warehouses, production halls and workshops without anyone having to stand there.

Choose on function first and on substrate second. Self-adhesive stickers go straight onto a smooth, clean concrete floor or coating, and the bond stands or falls with degreasing properly beforehand. For zones that have to stay readable during a power cut there are photoluminescent versions that take up light and glow in the dark, suited to escape routes and emergency exits.

Non-slip dots combine the marking with grip on wet or slippery spots. Look further at the size and at the traffic the sticker has to survive, because forklift traffic asks for a thicker, wear resistant version where a walkway can do with a thinner one. Continuous lines and bands sit under floor marking tape.
