Coiled hoses in 6 mm to 13 mm bore for air tools

A coiled hose keeps an air line off the floor, pulling back to a compact helix as soon as the tool is set down, which removes the trip hazard and the constant re-coiling a straight length brings to a busy bay. Working length matters more than the stated length, because a coil loses reach as it stretches and pulls harder the further it goes; size it so the tool reaches the far corner of the work area with slack left over.

Bore is the second decision. Smaller 6 mm and 8 mm bores suit blow guns, staplers and light fastening work, while 10 mm to 13 mm bores keep pressure up at higher-consumption tools such as sanders and grinders. Polyurethane stays supple in cold conditions and resists kinking; polyamide is lighter and holds its memory well. Check the pressure rating, typically 10 bar for workshop air, and whether couplings and nipples are already fitted.
