Bosch corded routers, edge routers and biscuit jointers are the tools for joiners and interior fitters who cut profiles, rebates and joints in timber and board material.

A router is the most versatile type: with the right cutter you make grooves, slots, profiles and recesses, and a guide or template keeps you on a fixed line. Power decides how deep you can rout in one pass. The lighter routers of 1200 to 1400 W are easy to handle for finishing work, the heaviest at 2000 W take larger cutters and hardwood. An edge router is smaller and lighter, works with one hand and rounds over edges or trims protruding edge banding.

A biscuit jointer cuts slots for biscuits, which join panels and frames quickly and square. If sanding follows the routing, the matching machines are among the Bosch corded angle grinders and sanders; every other mains-powered machine from the brand sits under Bosch electrical power tools.
