Scotch-Brite Roloc Surface Conditioning Disc SE-DR combines a coarse, non-woven disc for heavy-duty deburring and finishing with the efficiency of the 3M Roloc quick-change system.
Use the Scotch-Brite Roloc SE Surface Conditioning Disc for heavy duty deburring and finishing. With the 3M Roloc Quick Change System, discs can be changed quickly and easily. Due to the fibres, the discs adapt well to irregular or shaped surfaces. The Roloc backing supports the disc to enable aggressive cutting action. The open web structure of the fibres stays cool and resists clogging, while the aluminium oxide-based abrasive ensures a consistent finish with its sharp cutting action. Aluminium oxide is a strong, durable abrasive material that continuously breaks down during use, so new cutting edges appear all the time. The material cuts quickly and is more durable than traditional abrasives such as garnet, which wear out quickly during use. Because of its high cutting speed, hardness, strength and low heat retention, alumina is widely used for grinding, sanding and finishing. It can be used on numerous substrates, in both wood and metalworking, including ferroalloys. In Scotch Brite's surface finishing products, the abrasive material is incorporated into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibres. The combination of abrasive material with fibres creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the life of the product. The open web structure keeps the material cool, reducing the risk of discolouration and deformation of parts. The fibres do not fill up quickly, which keeps the abrasive mineral working well. This also extends the life of the disc. The 3M Roloc Quick Change System ensures a secure attachment, even in heavy duty applications. We offer a wide range of Roloc discs for quick and easy changing between different applications. The discs are colour-coded for easy identification. 3M Roloc TR, TS and TSM quick-change discs are smaller discs that attach quickly and easily to a Roloc backing pad*.
