Product description
- Removes flat and rust quickly without affecting workpiece geometry
- Material that resists flooding avoids clogging for consistent cutting action
- Resistant to streaking to minimise work surface cleaning
- Extra coarse silicon carbide (XCS) provides aggressive cutting action and leaves a fine finish without grooves in the workpiece
- The Roloc attachment system allows quick and easy disc changes in multi-step finishing processes
The Scotch-Brite Roloc Clean and Strip disc uses a long-life abrasive material that combines silicon carbide with non-woven nylon fibres through a synthetic resin that dissolves and degrades over time. Our discs are designed for aggressive cleaning without changing the base material.
Use the Scotch-Brite Roloc Clean and Strip disc to aggressively remove paint and rust from seams, door jambs, trim and pinch welds and other tight places. Our XT discs feature the Roloc mounting system for quick and easy disc changes: ideal in multi-step finishing processes. The disc is quickly mounted on holder and pad* which is then attached to abrasive tools such as straight grinders and angle grinders. The discs bind silicon carbide mineral and non woven nylon fibres using a resin that dissolves and breaks down over time, keeping the abrasive strong and heat-resistant. Silicon carbide is a very sharp synthetic abrasive generally used in low-pressure applications such as paint preparation. The material breaks down faster than aluminium oxide, for a superior finish. The extra coarse (XCS) mineral works hard to remove unwanted corrosion and imperfections from various substrates. It aggressively removes paint and rust from seams, door jambs, drip rails, pinch welds and other hard-to-reach areas. The non-woven technology makes Scotch-Brite industrial abrasives unique. We combine strands, synthetic resin and abrasive mineral to form a thick, open web. The springy property of the fibres responds to contours and effectively removes unwanted burrs, dirt and contaminants while maintaining the geometry of the workpiece, which in turn reduces rework and increases productivity. The abrasive can escape through holes in the web, preventing particles from clogging the mineral. Fibres in the web constantly break down during use so that fresh minerals are exposed. This ensures exceptional consistency, superior cutting performance and extremely long service life. From aesthetic finishing to blending welds, deburring and more: Scotch-Brite abrasives work quickly and deliver consistent results, part after part. *Sold separately
