The Scotch-Brite Roloc Surface Conditioning Disc SC-DR combines our durable non-woven disc with the efficiency of the 3M Roloc attachment that allows quick disc changes for cleaning, finishing, blending and deburring. Our non-woven fibre construction is excellent for maintaining irregular or contoured surfaces and the Roloc backing supports the disc for aggressive cutting work.
Use Scotch Brite Roloc Surface Conditioning Disc for a range of tasks, including blending, deburring and finishing. Our non-woven discs use a fast-cutting alumina mineral and are made of a fibre that adapts well to work irregular or shaped surfaces while maintaining shape. This combined with an efficient 3M Roloc quick-change system to support the disc during tough jobs. The discs' open web ensures little heat build-up and resists clogging, reducing the risk of discolouration and warping of parts. Aluminium oxide abrasives cut quickly and provide a consistent finish. Tough, durable and wear-resistant alumina continuously breaks apart during use to expose new cutting edges. By comparison, traditional abrasives, such as garnet, wear out much faster during use. Due to its high cutting speed, hardness, strength and low heat build-up, alumina mineral is a popular choice for applications in grinding, sanding and finishing. It is suitable for use on a wide range of substrates in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferroalloys. Scotch Brite Surface Conditioning products contain abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibres. Combining abrasives with the fibres creates an abrasive system that produces consistent results for the life of the product. The fibres are resistant to clogging, allowing abrasive minerals to maintain high performance, which also extends the life of the disc. 3M Roloc TR quick-change discs are smaller discs with a plastic threaded knob or screw that is designed to easily and quickly screw onto a Roloc TR support disc*, making it easy to change discs with a simple twist. The Roloc TR system offers secure attachment, even for heavy-duty applications, and the variety of 3M Roloc discs available allows changing from one application to the next in seconds. *Sold separately
