The 3M Protective Coverall 4530 has undergone a specialist material treatment that stops flame propagation in the fabric so that it can be worn over a garment with a flame retardant index, improving protection against chemical splashes and protection against hazardous dust, and extending the life of the garment through reduced washing. Certified to Cat III hazardous substance and splash type 5/6 protection and Antistatic EN 1149.
Use the 3M Protective Coverall 4530 for protection against dirt, splashes and toxic dust particles, including nuclear particles. It meets various standards for protective clothing against chemicals, including EN 1149 Electrostatic, EN 1073-2 Against nuclear particles, EN ISO 13688, Type 6 Liquid Splash EN 13034, and Type 5 Dust EN ISO 13982-1. Easily recognised by the white triangle in the blue suit, made of the same 54-gram SMMS material as the rest. Only the material of this coverall is specially treated (parts not) for special resistance to flame spread in accordance with ISO 14116 Index 1. This means that the disposable coverall can be used in combination with a garment with Flame Retardancy Index 2/3 to protect against chemical splashes and hazardous substances, for a longer life of the reusable garment as it needs to be washed less often. The 3M Protective Coverall 4530 is soft and breathable while being solid and strong, weighing 54 g/m². It is made of SMMS: an inner and outer layer of spunbonded fabric with two layers of melt-blown material in between. The spiderbound layers provide the strength and splash protection, while the melt-blown layers form an advanced multilayer web of microfibres that traps all dry particles. The soft, breathable and very lightweight nonwoven material provides good dissipation of body heat and moisture, for long-term wearing comfort and maximum productivity in the workplace.
