Tyvek® 500 garments are composed of flash-spun high-density polyethylene, creating a unique, non-woven material available only from DuPont. Tyvek® 500 coveralls offer an ideal balance of protection, durability and comfort. The coveralls are designed to provide the performance of Type 5/6 garments, tested to standards against light liquid aerosols and suspended solids. These coveralls provide an effective barrier against particles (up to 1.0 microns in size).
Tyvek® 500 coveralls - model TY198S - are suitable for applications such as pharmaceutical processing, chemical processing, automatic spray painting, maintenance and many others. Tyvek® 500 HP coveralls - model TY178S - are specifically designed for workers working with a harness in environments where hazardous particles or light liquid aerosol hazards* are present. Designed to be worn over a full body harness, the garment's innovative design allows workers to access and use multiple D-rings on their full body harness. This garment is compatible with different models of full body harnesses, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, including painting, cleaning, maintenance and more.
