How did it originate?
What started seven years ago as a hobby from home in the small village of Westerhaar-Vriezenveensewijk has quickly grown into a successful business based in the neighbouring village of Vroomshoop. “We moved premises four times in seven years. We are now located in a new building under our own management. This allows us to serve our customers even faster and better,” says Jeffrey. “We make sliding doors in a traditional manner. We have them in all kinds of sizes, shapes, and styles.”

In addition to sliding doors, schuifdeur-totaal.nl busies itself with custom oak products such as oak wall shelves with integrated lighting, oak windowsills, coat racks, tabletops, etc. What is unique is that their products are distinctive from the rest. “We are passionate about our products and love new challenges,” says Jeffrey. “We regularly receive unique enquiries, and we like to try out new things. Therefore, new products are regularly added to our online store.” Innovative solutions are sought for many creative challenges. Design and ease of use come first. Jeffrey: “We have several one-of-a-kind products. It’s exactly where our passion lies.”
Tight planning – great successes
“Which project we are most proud of? I find that a difficult question. Because secretly we look back on every project with pride. However, there are some projects that stand out. For example, we recently provided a chateau in France with authentic sliding door fittings. We have also provided various hotel chains and B&Bs with space-saving sliding door solutions. Last spring, we were allowed to participate in the Dutch TV show ‘Big house renovations’ of SBS6. This involved the production and installation of a custom steel sliding door for which we normally have a delivery time of twelve weeks. We managed to achieve this within two weeks. It all comes down to a super tight planning. When the project completed after 2 weeks and the reactions are great, we felt very proud as a team!”
