The story of Fedor is typical of many independent professionals. Three years ago, he exchanged the security of working for a boss for the challenge of his own one-man business — a move he has never regretted for a moment.
“If you had asked me five years ago where I would have wanted to be now, I could only have hoped for what it looks like now,” Fedor concludes with enthusiasm. “My customers are more than satisfied, and my business is doing well. I cannot ask for more, and I am proud of this.”
Creating a unique product

In the years that he was working as an employee, Fedor acquired loads of experience and professional knowledge, and he also developed a growing need for freedom. “I wanted to work from my own vision and personal contact with customers,” he says about this. “I think it’s important to be able to create a unique product for customers, whether this is building a dormer or roof or repairing a slide.”
Fedor regards the quality of the work as a given. What he personally adds to this is mainly communication about the process and end product. “Customer contact is central. By communicating openly with my customers, I find out what they really want, and we work towards that together.”
Sustainable solutions

Fedor comes up with sustainable solutions in close consultation with his customers. The choice of materials and, for example, insulation standards are just as important as the practical and aesthetic sides of the end product.
