Extension tubes and telescopic wands for vacuums

A vacuum cleaner tube extends the reach of a site vacuum, so you get to floors, ceilings and machine openings without moving the unit every time. At a fixed workstation the same tube serves as a suction extension on an extraction nozzle, where a hose alone would be too short or hang too slack.

The connection size is decisive. Tubes fit one fixed hose diameter, and 32, 35 and 40 mm are the common sizes. Larger cross sections up to around 50 mm belong with vacuums that move more air and coarser material. Measure the existing hose or nozzle before ordering, because half a size out gives air loss or a joint that comes apart during work.

Then choose the form. Straight extension tubes are combined singly or as a set to the length you need, while a telescopic wand adjusts continuously and is handier on varied work. Aluminium versions weigh less and you notice that immediately on overhead work. Makita, Festool, Bosch, Metabo, HiKOKI, Kärcher, Fein and Ghibli supply this range. The matching vacuum cleaner nozzle and a dust bag complete the set.
